The history of Bingo
Game Bingo first played in the 16th century. It’s ancestor was the lottery game called Lo Giuco di Lotto d’Italia. Since then these lottery type games spread across Europe amazingly quickly, because they were very popular. Game’s name Bingo comes from another game called Beano, which was played near Atlanta in 1929. A man who has been selling toys noticed that every time somebody wins he yelled “Beano!”, the name of the game, in his excitement. Then he introduced the game to his friends. When playing, one of them misunderstood the name, and exclaimed “Bingo!” instead of “Beano!”. Today the game still has this name.
Bingo is a game of chance played in halls. Now you can play in an authentic internet hall! In order to play you buy cards with numbers on them in a 5×5 grid. On the upper part of the card you’ll find the letters of the game B I N G O. Numbers as B5 or G10 up to 68 are drawn by random. (If you play American bingo numbers chosen are from 0-75, in British or Australian Bingo from 0-90). As soon as one player completes a line horizontally, vertically or diagonally on the card, and calls out Bingo, alerting others, wins!
Today you can easily play Bingo while you are sitting in you comfortable arm-chair at home, or at the office, or even somewhere outside, where you can establish an Iternet connection!
